we had a luau b-day party that turned out great. people came in Hawaiian clothes.
We had leis for the guests, and served punch in coconut shell glasses. Also had fresh fruit kabobs, it worked really good to stick them into the top end that we cut off of the pineapple. Instead of a pig roast we had a hotdog roast. =o)
Played luau music and did the limbo.
used beach towels for table runners and had sand filled Frisbees (both dollar store items) with seashells as center pieces.

have a theme to dress up to, this is always fun!

    my favourite was ‘the oscars’.
everyone dressed up and the whole party was based around it.
for instance for all the games we had we won an osca r (old barbie painted in gold) and a little prize. the food was served in fancy plates (but still junk food :) )
if you can afford it, get a makeup artist to come and do the girls up, this is always fun too!!

    all the best
